Chiang Mai, 20 August 2026. Living Roots, an agriculture technology company that helps agribusinesses improve fertilization and yields across their farmer networks, today announced it has closed a seed round. The company will use the funding to scale its work with agribusinesses across Southeast Asia and South Asia.
The round was backed by a group of new and returning angel investors, including Epic Angels, Adithep Narula, Suchote Chanvipava, along with 6 other angel investors.
Living Roots works with agribusinesses that source from large farmer networks. It provides software and AI tools for managing fertilization across those networks, along with biologicals, bio stimulants, seed coatings, and fertilizer products farmers use in the field. Together, these cut imported synthetic fertilizer demand by about half while improving yields.
The company has active deployments with partner networks in Thailand, Indonesia and India across a wide range of crops, and with its Thai partners has helped farmers improve yields by 20-30%. Fertilizer is one of the largest input costs for farmers in the region, and most synthetic fertilizer in Southeast Asia and South Asia is imported. Growing more while spending less on inputs raises farmer incomes, improves margins for the agribusinesses they supply, and reduces exposure to volatile global fertilizer prices.
“Our partners in Thailand have shown what happens when farmer networks get the right tools. Farmers grew more, spent less on fertilizer, and their networks got stronger. This round lets us do that with agribusinesses across Southeast Asia and South Asia. We are here for the long run, and we are excited to work with businesses that want better outcomes for their farmers.”
With the new funding, Living Roots will expand its partnerships with agribusinesses across Southeast Asia and South Asia, grow its team, and continue developing its software, AI, and product lines. The company is also expanding into Central Asia and West Africa, where conversations with partners are underway and pilots have started.
